Angstrom Reinstates Award Program

Angstrom Lighting announced today that it has reinstated the Angstrom Award for Lifetime Achievement in Lighting Design presented by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle. We are very happy that we will once again have the opportunity to offer the Angstrom Award to recognize an outstanding lighting designer, said Frans Klinkenberg, President & CEO of Angstrom Lighting. It is a way to acknowledge our industrys finest while supporting our local theatrical community and I am delighted that this years recipient is Steven Young. The award comes with a cash prize of $1,000 from Angstrom Lighting.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle was founded in 1969. It is dedicated to excellence in theatrical criticism, and to the encouragement and improvement of theatre in Greater Los Angeles. The 2004-05 membership is made up of 17 critics reviewing theatre for 23 different websites, radio stations, newspapers and magazines.

Terri Roberts, Vice President of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and Producer of the 36th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards commented, We are thrilled that business is prosperous enough for you to once again honor a deserving lighting designer with this award.
