Kramer Electronics has announced the acquisition of Sierra Video Systems, a northern California based company specializing in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-quality matrix switchers and routers for the high-end professional AV, broadcast, military and staging/rental and presentation marketplaces.

The new company will operate as Sierra Video Systems, a subsidiary of Kramer Electronics US.

Eric Berliner, president, will remain in that capacity with Sierra Video Systems. This acquisition is the next logical step to the very successful strategic alliance that Sierra and Kramer announced more than two years ago.
